JF-17 Thunder Block 3 Sale to Argentina. Role of England in Pakistan-Argentina JF-17 Thunder sale?

Argentina needs no F-35s or Rafale planes as they are not in an active war with their neighbors. Besides, UK/US are not in the best terms with Argentina and British would never let them buy any reasonable planes from European allies either.

Argentina has very few options on their hands. JF-17 might be an inferior plane as compared to American and European or even Russian crafts but it is very reasonably priced and it gets stuff done. Argentina would definitely benefit from a low cost, low maintenance, fully capable and upgradable plane that combines the technologies from Russia, China, and Pakistan. With this plane purchase, Argentina would never have to deal with hawkish and unfair treatment from the western countries. Remember why Pakistan developed JF-17 - Pakistan had paid in cash to buy 40 of F-16 in 1986 and the planes were parked in Arizon to rot for 14 years before they were released. They had become worthless in 14 years with major issues. US would not release the already paid planes and also refused to return the money paid. This kind of treatment in any business leads to customer looking for other options and Pakistan also was forced to find a way. Argentina is in a similar situation where UK/US would never allow anything good to happen to Argentina so easily.
Argentina is considering purchasing JF-17 Thunder aircraft from Pakistan to consolidate its defensive capabilities after having been refused the same by South Korea.
Ties between the UK and Argentina have been strained since the 1980s after the latter invaded British Overseas Territories (BOTS), namely the Falkland Islands and its territorial dependency South Georgia, and the South Sandwich Islands in 1982. The move resulted in the 10-week long undeclared Falklands War that ended with a British victory.
The Air Chief of the Argentine Air Force, Brigadier Xavier Isaac, has said that KAI had annulled the defense deal on the pretext that Argentina is financially unstable and cannot afford to purchase FA-50 jets.
He remarked that Britain’s action did not surprise Argentina as it had long anticipated this move by KAI.
Brigadier Issac also stated that the Argentine Air Force is now contemplating purchasing JF-17 Thunder Block-III from Pakistan, adding that a high-level delegation of the Argentine Air Force had visited Pakistan in 2017 to examine the fighter jet.
He concluded that the acquisition of the JF-17 Thunder Block-III will be a giant leap by Argentina.
