The Story Of River Plate's Shocking Relegation in 2011

River Plate are, historically, the most successful club in Argentinian football with 36 league titles to their name, and they play in a league which is specifically set up to make it more difficult for them, as well as the other big clubs in Argentina, to be relegated. However, that is exactly what happened back in 2011, as over the course of three seasons, the club sleepwalked their way to a relegation playoff which they ended up losing.
