Journal Entry - January 23rd 1625

I’ve grown tired of surviving on berries. They hurt when I walk through them anyway. So, I’ve begun work on a modest farm. Wheat, and potatoes will serve much better than mere fruit.

But this land does not yield easily. I was ambushed by skeletons riding horses. Perhaps it was something in those berries...No it couldn't be as their arrows whistling through the night. They seemed too organized to be the typical monsters I have become used to. Something tells me I should get this mine done and get better equipped. I have one of those feelings.

This land grows stranger by the day, but I’ll tame it yet.
