You can hear Fijians screaming out as they saw The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wave from their vehicle.

The Republic of Fiji with His Excellency the President Major-General (retired) Jioji Konrote, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama with and other Cabinet ministers held a Traditional Farewell Ceremony in Nadi for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Crowds of people showed up in numbers with their Fiji and British flags together with their mobile phones to catch a glimpse of the royal couple that have recently flooded the news feed of every Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and twitter account in Fiji.

-Unveiling of the Late Sgt. Talaiasi Labalaba statue

It was an emotional moment for many Fijians as The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry unveiled the statue commemorating Sergeant Talaiasi Labalaba.

Also present at the unveiling was His Excellency the President Major-General (retired) Jioji Konrote, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and the son of the late Talaiasi Labalaba - Isaia Dere.

Labalaba who was involved in the Battle of Mirbat on July 19th 1972 - fired a 25 pounder single handedly in spite of being seriously wounded against attacking guerrilla forces.

The Special Air Service (SAS) Sergeant was shot dead at the age of 30.
