A patron asks: "Some politicians have come out in favor of a $15 minimum wage but nobody mentions the industries that are exempt from paying minimum wage: agriculture, restaurants, and prisons (maybe more). There's a longstanding movement in vegetable farming of hunger strikes and protests just trying to get grocery retail to sell tomatoes for one more cent than they currently do. How can wages be balanced so that all hard working people can earn a livable wage while making food and clothing affordable for everybody else?"
