Back to Basics - Java To Kotlin Classes

It’s been a busy week here as I have been moonlighting for a new client as well as doing my day job on team Gilded Rose. So I’m going to take a break from the JSON parsing (that is a break from Gilded Rose) and instead publish a video covering the refactorings from the first (code) chapter of the book that I wrote with Nat Pryce called Java to Kotlin, a Refactoring Guidebook (http://java-to-kotlin.dev).

This chapter, 3 - Java to Kotlin Classes, covers refactoring a Java data class into Kotlin. It then looks at a more complicated case, a Money class, that has a relationship between the properties.
