One of the easiest ways I have found to preserve basil for later is by freezing the basil in ice cube trays.

Easy and works great too! Preserving basil by freezing is one way I like to quickly put away my herbs.

In this video I take you through the steps of how I like to preserve basil for later use in my cooking dishes.

Growing basil indoors during the winter is not hard and works well you just need some good lighting to keep them thriving.

Cut off and harvest your basil leaves when they start getting taller, do not let them seed out unless you want them too.
