Basic tome theory when choosing colours. Often people just apply the colour the clients wants without looking at their natural tones and neutralising them to get a better result. For example if your hair is naturally golden and the client chooses a gold blonde then the colour result will be double golden, therefore choose a violet blonde instead for a cleaner blonde rather than a brassy blonde.
