Hey y’all, Joefer here, The Cranky Old Gay Guy. Today I’m talking about the old gay phrases and sayings that have slipped out of our culture over the years. You know, stuff we heard when we first came out that nobody uses anymore. I share a few from my own past, like “Doris Day parking,” “Mary,” and “friend of Dorothy,” and how language shifts from generation to generation. Meanwhile, today’s slang (ie. “fire,” “basic,” “rizz”) flies right past me. So I want to hear from you: what forgotten gay lingo did you grow up with, and how do you feel about the new stuff? And, as always, remember to Stay "Cranky My Friends! Stay Cranky."
