Dal Panchmel
Ingredients:
Mother's Choice Toor dal - 1/2 cup
Mother's Choice Masoor dal - 1/2 cup
Mother's Choice Urad dal - 1/2 cup
Chana dal - 1/2 cup
Moong dal - 1/2 cup
Ghee - 2 tbsp
Ginger - 1 tsp
Garlic - 2 tsp
Onion - 1/2 cup
Tomato - 1/2 cup
Water - 2 cups
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 tbsp
Jeera Powder - 1/2 tsp
Butter - 1 tbsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
Fresh Coriander - 2 tbsp
Green Chili - 1 tbsp
Method:
1. Wash the lentils twice and pressure cook until three whistles with some turmeric and salt.
2. Prepare tempering, heat ghee in a pan and sauté the cumin along with ginger and garlic until golden brown.
3. Now add onion and cook until brown, add tomatoes and seasoning stir well and allow it to cook for a minute or two.
4. Pour cooked lentils stir well and pour some water to adjust the consistency. Finish with some butter and freshly chopped coriander and serve hot along with rice or chapati.
