The Quran Calls Jesus the Messiah - Tawhid Dilemma Ep. 11

In this episode, Al Fadi and Sam Shamoun focus on the title “The Messiah” given to Jesus (Isa). Unfortunately, though the Quran mentions Jesus as Messiah, it does not tell us what “The Messiah” is.

So how are Muslims to know what ‘The Messiah” is?
Surah 10 Ayat 94 stipulates that if you should have any doubts of Allah’s revelation, go to the people of the book.

From there, Sam and Al go to The Holy Bible and examine Isaiah chapter 9 verses 6-7 to show not only the prophecy of “The Messiah” but also what “The Messiah” will do.

What is astonishing is shown in the next chapter of Isaiah (chapter 10 verse 20-21) which shows that, in conjunction with the previous chapter, the words “a child is born” is translated from the Hebrew “yeled yulad”.

Why is this important? Because in Surah 112 Ayat 3 (chapter 112 verse 3) of the Quran, it says “Lem yeled, wa lem youled” meaning “neither begets, nor is born” in reference to Allah.

This ultimately shows that Isaiah and his prophecy of the Messiah disproves Surah 112 Ayat 3.
