The Last days of Diesel Trains | Bangalore - Mysore | Indian Railways

Enjoy watching a variety Diesel Locomotive hauled Trains from the scenic Mysore - Bangalore line which is currently undergoing Doubling and Electrification simultaneously. This video is specially for all the die hard Diesel lovers out here and this was captured right in time before the Electric Poles and Catenary could get erected and ruin this scenic stretch of land. Almost 90% of the section is electrified and Electric locomotive testing has been completed between Bangalore to Yeliyur. A lot of trains on this stretch will loose its Diesel power once the complete section is Electrified.

Hope you enjoy watching this video that was shot at the suburbs of Mysore. It is estimated that more than 30000 People travel between Mysore and Bangalore daily by trains.The Varuna Canal aqueduct was constructed for transporting River Cauvery's water to the interior parts of the Mysore district mainly for farm lands and Agriculture from the KRS / Krishnaraja Sagara Dam. Luckily this Canal was constructed right above the Railway Tracks which helped me to capture aerial view of trains with sharp curves on both the sides. Enjoy the rich greenery surrounded with Paddy Fields, Palm grooves, herds of Cattle and the sound of the flowing water.
