Speaking in the #Assam Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister #HimantaBiswaSarma welcomed the decision by sections of the #Muslim community in Assam to refrain from #cow slaughter and not offer beef during religious occasions out of respect for the sentiments of the #Hindu community. Calling it a positive step towards communal harmony and cattle protection, the Chief Minister thanked the Muslim community for the gesture.
