Longest-Serving Female US Senator Dianne Feinstein Dead at 90
Dianne Feinstein, the longest serving woman in the U.S. Senate, has died. Feinstein was a native of San Francisco, California. In her more than three decades in the Senate, Feinstein worked on a variety of legislative issues she felt were important to her California constituents, including the environment, LGBTQ+ equality, and sponsoring the 1994 Federal Assault Weapons Ban. Her last vote was cast the day before she died. Senator Dianne Feinstein was 90 years old.
