My name is Konstantin Baum, I am a Master of Wine and I have been challenged to a blind tasting … My intern Leon has been working for my company for the last months and he has selected two wines and I have selected two wines that we are going to taste and identify. All wines were poured into randomly numbered wine bottles so that we cannot tell the wine from the bottle shape, and we don’t know which wines are Leon’s and which wines are mine. It might therefore happen, that we get our wines confused, which would be embarrassing… I can win points if I identify Leon’s two wines and vice versa: We get two points for the correct grape variety, country, region, vintage, and the price bracket (+-1 Euros) – you can get 1 point if you are close when it comes to the price and the vintage. We will taste the wines separately and will reveal the scores in the end.
