Here is a superb Schumannian album, an intense, homogenous integral that burns at every measure the flames of pure romanticism. It would almost be necessary to comment admiringly on each interpretation of each work, so much the spirit unites with the letter, so much fervour and love lift the music even in the short pieces. The "Sturm und Drang" in Schumann's style is also capable of great moments of poetry such as the third movement of the Violin Sonata in D minor: Dolce semplice - Leise, einfach (2:01:23) a delight..
