The only purpose of this video is to share the work of one of today's greatest artists, and to make it available to everybody.
Sokolov's concerts can be one of the greatest listening moments in one's life, I still remember one of them - from more than five years ago, in which he played Schubert's Klavierstucke D.956 - as a sort of life-changing experience.
This year has robbed most of us of the possibility to attend live concerts. Sharing this performance is simply one way to give the opportunity to admire one of those artists that should be seen: his recent albums, despite being wonderful and very well recorded, do not fully capture the magic he is able to create in his live appearances.
