Comparing the Tecsun PL-310ET and Sangean DT-800 on AM/mediumwave

In this video, I demonstrated the difference in noise floors of the Tecsun PL-310ET and new Sangean DT-800. This video was made at a site far away from RFI of any sort other than the iPhone that shot the video (which had no discernible impact on either radio).

The DT-800, like the ATS-405, both suffer from higher than average noise on the AM band. A shame because this will put off AM/MW DXers.

For the casual AM broadcast listener, though, the DT-800 is not a bad pick. The AM noise floor is about the only con I note on this otherwise excellent little receiver. See my full review on the SWLing Post.
