Diaper Cake Tutorial
Things you will need:
-diapers, different size rubber bands, cardboard rolls, scissors, hot glue gun, ribbons
I used 216 diapers, size: 1
roll all the diapers up, secure it with rubber bands
now the cake is made out of 5 layers. starting from the first tier of the cake, which has only 1 layer: total of 20 diapers used
the 2nd tier of the cake has 2 layers, each layer is made out of 32 diapers. and the third tier of the cake has 2 layers, EACH layer has 60 diapers.
TOP TIER 1: 1 layer - 20 diapers
MIDDLE TIER 2: 2 layers - 38 diapers/layer = 76 diapers total
BOTTOM TIER 3: 2 layers - 60 diapers/layer = 120 diapers total
stack the tiers on top of each other, in the middle of the whole cake i had removed the one diaper in the middle and replaced it with paper towel cardboard roll, it secured the cake from moving around.
wrap each layer with the ribbons of your choice, be sure to hide all of the ribbons. instead of pinning all the ribbons to the cake - thus making holes in the diapers that usually the mom to be ends up usings, i just used my hot glue gun to glue the ends of the ribbons together.
to top off the cake, you can find the wooden letters at your local craft stores, or even walmart and paint it and have a little stuffed toy hold it.
thank you for watching, i hope you liked the video, hopefully it was an easy follow up tutorial for you, if you have any comments, questions let me know, and be sure to subscribe (: i will have more tutorials coming right up (:
