Easy Watercolor painting background with white lettering

I saw a bunch of these on Pinterest, and I wanted to make one myself.
But my writing sucks /: and I have no idea how they get the words to stay unpainted in the back

so I came up with this really easy way to do this (:

the image comes out so sharp, I love it!

THINGS YOU WILL NEED:
watercolor paper (or really thick card stock paper)
paint brush
watercolor paint
water
paper towel
vinyl shape/words cut out/sticker (I cut it out using my Cricut) the reason why I used vinyl instead of regular sticker paper, because after taking it off, it doest peel off any paper with it
