Rato Machhindranath Jatra is the biggest religious street festival in Lalitpur. The annual chariot procession of God Karunamaya is known as Bunga Dyah Jatra or Rato Macchindranath Jatra. Each year, the locals of Patan, Lalitpur celebrate the festival in order to show respect to the rain god. This festival is one of the oldest and the longest festival celebrated in Patan.

This video is based on stories passed from our ancestors. We have tried to gather as much information as possible from different sources. This video is just an attempt to share the belief behind this festival to keep them alive and not intended to hurt anyone or their beliefs.
