The Azores: São Jorge (Portugal's BEST Island?)

Join us on our Euro 2020 trip where we leave the Azores Island of Faial behind, and head to the beautiful island of São Jorge, our favourite island in the Azores, Portugal!

In Episode 29 of our Eurotrip 2020 series, we take a morning ferry from Faial to São Jorge island where we based ourselves for the next few days.

We continued our new habit of arranging a guided taxi tour of the island to get a good idea of the layout and to check out some of the major highlights of São Jorge with a local!

Some of our favourite places to visit on the island include the Piscina Natural “Simao Dias” and hiking to the famous Fajã da Caldeira de Santo Cristo!
