DIY Promaster Van Conversion Build Part 3: 80/20 Aluminum Framing, Drawers,Slides, &Toilet/ Van Tour

This is our start to finish DIY Van conversion build series where we outfit our '08 Promaster 3500 for off-grid living, camping, overlanding...whatever you want to call it! Watch and learn how we outline each major step in the process with attention to detail, what materials we use, and what obstacles stand in our way.

Part 3: The Van starts looking more like a home with each step in this process. Watch as we construct the kitchen & bench seating/storage/sleeping area out of 80/20 aluminum framing. Kirt then puts his woodworking skills to the test as he builds drawers from scratch with baltic birch plywood. Routers, kreg jigs, palm sanders, chop saws, 80/20, all the nuts & bolts...this is an adult's version of erector-set! We also go over why we chose the AirHead Composting toilet as we finalize it's place in the van. This episode is packed full of progress and we're excited to share it with you!
