How to get ungated on amazon

To this day, ungating on amazon fba seems to be a mystery to most. But it's really quite simple. In this video, I will break down everything you need to know about ungating and exactly how to get ungated, along with some pro tips i've learned along the way that literally no one will tell you.

Ok so lets go over a few pro tips, that will help you out.

So before anything else you need all of the required information that amazon asks you for. Ok so make sure you have that correct right from the start.

In the “optional information” box under these requirements. Make sure to always include your sales reps name and direct phone number to his desk.

Amazon is calling reps more and more lately to verify sellers, so just make sure that’s included.

Pro tip #2 – Your invoice must be finalized. This means there must be proof of payment shown on the invoice. If you get an invoice after you paid for your products and it still shows that there is a total amount due.

Amazon will deny it. Some suppliers will just send you that invoice because they may already have it in front of them but this will get you denied. So make sure its finalized and in the section where it says total amount due, it says zero.

Pro tip #3 – Your invoice cannot be in editable format. Amazon will deny you right away because they want to make sure you didn’t alter it in any way. A good rule of thumb is to print – scan – submit.

So when you receive your invoice, print out and scan it back into your computer before you submit it to amazon.

Do not just submit the downloadable version your supplier sent you via email.

Pro tip #4 – your “ship to” and “bill to” address on your invoice must match. So whatever address you have for your account on amazon, must match this.

Now I know you’re probably saying you don’t want to have to ship it to your house and don’t worry I’ll tell you how to deal with that at the end.

But you cannot have your “bill to” address be your business address and the “ship to” be amazons warehouse for example. They must match.

Pro tip #5 – sometimes it just depends on what amazon employee you get looking over your case.

I’ve had multiple invoices get denied and then I re-submit the exact same invoice a little later and it gets approved.

Not all amazon employees are created equal.

Ok so now lets go over getting the invoice from your supplier. So obviously we want to avoid sending anything to our houses whenever we can. And you can do this one of two ways.

You can request a “mock” finalized invoice showing the purchase of 10 units or more, from your supplier. These are harder and harder to get because suppliers have been burned in the past.

They help a seller out, give them a mock invoice and then never hear from that seller again. Do not be that seller. If you agree to buy a certain amount after you get approved, then go buy that certain amount.

Another way you can do this, is by purchasing 10 or more units and having your supplier hold the inventory until you get approved.

As long as you have a decent relationship with your supplier they don’t have a problem doing this. It’s an easy sell because you’ve already paid for the units and will come back and buy more after approval. And if you don’t come back well you’ve already paid so it’s no risk to them.

With that being said they aren’t going to hold it for long, so submit the invoice asap.

And if neither of these two options work then you’re forced to do a test order and ship them to your house.
