PopUp Workbench / Sawstallions - Episode 3 - Making the Top Rails

Episode 3 - Making the Top Rail - for making the PopUp Workbench from plywood. Go to our PopUp Workbench / Sawstallions Playlist to see the other episodes available. The PopUp Workbench is an extremely flexible workstation for someone who does not have space in their garage or workshop for a permanently setup workbench. It utilizes Matchfit Dovetail grooves and clamps in many different places for great flexibility in clamping items in place. The Sawstallions that serve as the base for the PopUp Workbench are extremely useful on a standalone basis as trestle-style sawhorses laced with Matchfit Dovetail grooves for clamping.

This video series of 11 Episodes show the process for building both the Sawstallions and the Workbench Top from plywood. HOWEVER, WE RECOMMEND YOU BUILD THE SAWSTALLIONS (sawhorses) OUT OF 2x4's. The plans for that version of the Sawstallions can be found in the Files tab of the Facebook Group called Small Workshop Woodworking Community. Join that Group if you have not already and then download the recommended plans from the Files tab - just do a search for "Sawstallions". Episodes 8 - 11 of this series of videos shows how to create the workbench top regardless of how you decide to build the underlying Sawstallions (best sawhorses ever!).
