'Being woke' is an inexcusable defence for just being 'insensitive' and 'uncivilised'
Broadcaster Kel Richards has discussed the origins of the word 'woke', and “woke warrior” Magda Szubanski’s twitter post about the PM’s wife Jenny Morrison.
“The way the word is used nowadays it means ‘being in the know … I’m a wake-up to what is really going on – I can see the stuff the rest of the world can’t see',” he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
Mr Richards said in regard to Magda Szubanski’s twitter post about Jenny Morrison that “being woke” is no excuse for being “uncivilized”.
“Being woke is no excuse for being insensitive, unaware and uncivilised.”
