Cristiano Ronaldo announces death of baby boy
Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the death of his baby boy.
He and long-term partner Georgina Rodriguez released a statement a short time ago, saying it was the “greatest pain” a parent could feel.
“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness," the statement read.
"We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support, we are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time.
"Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you."
The couple confirmed in December that they had been expecting both a boy and a girl in a gender-reveal video that featured their other children.
