Getting “stuck halfway:” Recharging your language learning experience | L2L Series Week 11 of 12
In this session, Marc Franco will talk about the so-called “intermediate plateau,” that place in your second-language learning where you feel you are “stuck” or not improving as much as you used to (if at all); when you do learn something new, you forget it quickly. You have a lot of passive, receptive knowledge of the language, but you do not use it actively yourself. The session will include possible cognitive and psychological explanations for this intermediate plateau as well as practical tips so you can avoid getting stuck at the intermediate plateau or get out of it if you’re already there.
