Buffalo Sabres forward Alex Tuch and his family donated $50,000 to Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, saying the gift is a thank-you to the staff who saved their son Teller’s life. Teller, born April 2025 at Sisters of Charity, faced life-threatening breathing problems when his lungs collapsed three times, spending more than two weeks in the NICU before doctors determined his lungs were fully developed and the puncture healed. The Tuchs—Alex, Kylie, and their sons Tripp and Teller—announced the donation as Teller nears his first birthday. The funds will support NICU care and other state-of-the-art needs, according to hospital president Meghan Aldrich. In appreciation, the hospital renamed its neonatal transport rig "Tuch's Truck," calling it an ICU on wheels. The family also revealed they are expecting a baby girl in September and said they wanted to give back to the staff who supported them.
