Ayrton Senna & Lewis Hamilton F1 Press Conference Comparison

33 years between the two press conferences yet similar in the conclusions, feelings, comments brought out from similar results affecting both two of the greatest drivers ever in F1.

Lewis Hamilton arguably had to face one of sports most controversial moments. Similarly, his beloved and legendary Brazilian hero had to face similar injustices within the sport they loved and impacted so greatly within their racing careers.

This press conference comparison was chilling at times to watch and hear as they almost echo the same sentiments, thoughts and feelings on how the FIA acted in their situations but also the determination to “Refuse” to let it hinder they’re love for the sport, values and ambition to continue achieving the greatness they’ve already achieved in their careers.

Ayrton Senna’s case is based on the incident between himself at Alain Prost at the 1989 Japanese Grand Prix, where the two controversially collided together giving the world championship to Prost.

And as you may or may not know, Lewis Hamilton’s response reflected upon the circumstances during the later stages of the 2021 Abu Dhabi GP where the rule were ‘Manipulated’ to provide entertainment rather than sporting ethics. As a result Lewis Hamilton losing the title to Max Verstappen on the last lap.
