F1 for 2020 returns to Turkey, Formula 1 hasn’t raced at Imola since 2005, but will make its return to the Intercity Istanbul Park

It has been nine years since Istanbul Park last hosted a Grand Prix, and there are some specific tests waiting for the drivers once they get out on track. But that won’t overshadow other paddock gossip, with plenty to talk about ahead of the race itself this weekend…

With the return of the Turkish Grand Prix to the Formula 1 calendar for this season, we take a look at Istanbul Park's stunning circuit, especially Turn 8. Only three of the current drivers took part in that race nine years ago – Sebastian Vettel (then with Red Bull), Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) and Sergio Perez (Sauber – the team that are today named Alfa Romeo).

The cars have changed a lot since then, which means their knowledge of Istanbul Park will not be very relevant this weekend. In fact, the drivers may have forgotten most things about the race, but just to remind them.
