Today i am showing how can you change a prop shaft bearing which called UJ or Universal Joint, if this bearing is broken or rusted then van or car or bus makes vibration when you accelerate the vehicle, its some times very dangerous if it comes off from the shaft specially from front side, and even from back side as well, rear drive most of the vehicles cars vans buses and truck uses this kind of propshaft, most of 4x4 vehicles also use these kind of shafts, its connected between gearbox and back diff or differential axle to move wheels to forward and reverse, its very common fault on mercedes sprinter and vw crafter w906 or 906 chassis specially from 2006 onward models, these kind of shafts uses the UJ in 3 different sizes, 24mm x 88mm, 27mm x 88mm, 31mm x 88mm, or 24x88, 27x88, and 31x88 in millimetres, its easy way to change this kind of UJ but very tricky as well, if you make any mistake during fitting then you can loose the UJ because bad fitting or assembling can cause the roller bearing slide slip in the cap and it will cause damage to UJ and will stiff, hard, jam and strong movement, if you follow the full video to learn properly then you will find it easy to repair and fix, at the end of this 1080p HD video, we are also showing that how to secure these of UJ in sprinter and crafter van truck or bus's Shaft, you will have to weld it from outer edges to prevent these UJ caps to move out it frame, because they can pop out very easily if you dont weld with very strong welding machine. we are using an arc welding this stainless steel rods, because these are very stron to hold the bearing, to take out bearing we are using bearing remover press with air compressor impact gun, for some of the UJ they are very bad then we can use an angle cutter machine with a cutting disk, THIS VIDEO HAS WELDING SHOOTING SO BE CAREFUL IF YOU HAVE SENSITIVE EYES, full guide to replace a bad worst u joint, fix vibration or if your van bus or car truck lorry vibrates, HOW TO REFURBISHED REFURB?
