when you repair the new rear axle design of the Sprinter first remove the individual components remove the ten screws from the housing cover then remove the oil splash plate remove the four screws from the bearing cover as well now label the positions of the bearing shells then remove them now we have to use the special tool position it and tighten the screws use a wrench to successively it only gradually spread the axle housing only open it enough that you can easily remove the differential then remove the two spacer discs now a detention the spreading tool again in order to dismantle it for the next step you have to rotate the axle on the articulated flange shaft side remember to tighten the nuts of the holder now we will continue with the articulated flange first release the collar nut then screw the holding wrench onto the articulated flange use the two middle holes then rotate the axle downward 90 degrees now remember to support the holding wrench with a suitable tool use the lever to release the collar nut then you can remove it dismantle a holder then fit the puller and screw it into place use the ratchet spanner and the puller to pull off the articulated flange then fit the puller for the bevel gear wheel use the ratchet to turn the spindle and press out the bevel gear wheel then you can take out the bevel gear wheel now continue with the gasket leave it us out then use a puller to pull out the outer bearing shell place a met underneath the axle and hammer out the inner bearing shell and the spacer disk using a suitable mandrel and a hammer ensure that you do not damage the contact surface of the bearing shell in the rear axle housing.
