Legend of Mermaid | Hanon (Italian) Lyrics & Transation

When it comes to Italian dubbings of anime, the TV channel which undertook most of the process used to buy the rights for the show, but not for the songs. This led to a complete re-writing of the songs, with completely different melodies and often lyrics as well (if you don’t buy the rights, you don’t even buy translations, I suppose). This is the reason why all Italian anime openings have little to nothing in common with the original Japanese tracks, and in the case of Mermaid Melody, this situation extended to all the songs in the show.
“Dolce melodia” substituted “Legend of Mermaid”, but also “Splash Dream”, “Koi wa nandarou”, and “Aurora no kaze ni notte” (the Italian soundtrack numbers only 11 songs, and the same tracks were re-used several times).
