No matter how you know this game - Jeter's flip, Giambi's no slide - it needs a deep rewind

Derek Jeter's flip and Jeremy Giambi's no-slide are surely the most memorable moments of this game. But the game was like 2 hours long, so much other stuff happened. In fact Jason Giambi 's little bro even had a chance to redeem his no-slide and devalue Jeter's flip! Because you see, Jeter’s flip did not end the game.

In the bottom of the 9th, the score was still 1-0. There were two outs. Jermaine Dye was on second. And Jeremy Giambi was up to bat. There’s more to this game than one amazing play. So we have to rewind.
