How the Marlins accidentally won another World Series in the middle of falling apart | Collapse

The Florida Marlins became the fastest MLB expansion team to win the World Series when they won it all in 1997, their fifth season in Major League Baseball. They then decided to tear the team apart for money. Magically, only a handful of seasons after setting fire to the team, lightning struck Florida again. But old habits die hard and the Marlins have always put the bottom line above continued success.

Written and produced by Alex Rubenstein
Directed by Mike Imhoff
