French cuisine meets Japanese street food in Fukuoka. The next time you're in Kyushu, give Remy a visit in Fukuoka for a night of food, drink and laughter while being able to mix with the locals at the same time.

Remy Grenard has been in Japan for about two decades, having owned a restaurant and bakery in Fukuoka in that time. He gave that up and decided to open a yatai street stall instead - Fukuoka’s first foreign yatai in fact.

Yatai became such a popular tourist attraction that in 2016 a competition was held to award new yatai licenses for the first time in two decades. 108 applications were received and Remy miraculously made it through! His energetic personality has made him a popular local figure and attracts both Japanese and non-Japanese visitors.
