Why Simulation Can Mislead You.

Simulation is an extremely useful engineering tool.
But many engineers make one critical mistake:

They trust simulation results too much.

The problem is simple:
every simulation model is only a simplified representation of a real component.

Even advanced models often ignore:
• Parasitic effects
• Temperature behavior
• Dynamic operating conditions
• Real PCB physics

And with open-source or generic models, the situation becomes even more dangerous — because you often do not know which assumptions or simplifications were made internally.

That means a circuit can look perfect in simulation…
and still fail in real hardware.

This is exactly why prototyping remains essential.

Especially in:
• Power electronics
• High-speed circuits
• Fast transient systems

Simulation helps you understand circuit behavior.
But only real hardware tells you the truth.
