Taking delivery of a 2017 Protonic Frozen Black BMW i8 - Vlog 1

I finally decided to buy a car to add to the channel. The BMW i8 was a car that I went into reviewing with very little belief that I would like the car very much. As soon as I lowered myself into the cockpit, I knew I was in for something special. Similar to cars I remember like the s2000, the power numbers don't do the car justice. When you find yourself sitting in the car it's exactly what you want from a "weekend car."

In 2017 the BMW i8 came in a Protonic Frozen Black edition. This rare option was $11,000 on the car when new, and really adds an extra layer of character to the already head turning i8. Depreciation has been extreme on the BMW i8 and as a result I was able to pick this car up for a steal of a price.

I have a lot of plans to bring this car out to more car events and find some new revenue streams through owning this vehicle. One selling point of this specific car is that it is still covered under the BMW warranty and maintenance plan. These cars have such a complicated power train that it really only made sense to pick one up that is still covered under warranty.

It felt great to grab this and add something interesting to the channel permanently. My original background is in motorsports and there is nothing better than taking out a fun machine for a proper drive.
