A simple video to know what is an electric motor and its structure.
Electrical energy is converted into mechanical energy by electric motors. Typically, electric motors interact with magnetic fields and electric currents in a wire winding. Torque is generated due to this interaction and applied to the motor's shaft.

During rotation, the stator of an electric motor remains stationary. It usually contains a row of magnets. Magnets have casings that resemble drums. Stators contain rotors. Copper wire is usually wound into a coil to make up the rotor. It is attached to the spinning axle.

A metal ring called the commutator is located at the end of the coil. It reverses the current flowing between the rotor and the battery. This keeps the axle rotating in one direction. The rotor spins by repulsion and attraction as the magnet's polarity is reversed.

Additionally, graphite can be used as a brush material. The motor's commutator receives an electric current from them. It spins due to the current sent from the terminals. Motors and batteries are usually attached to them.
