Northern Europe Mini Cruise Trip Report Part 2 (Rotterdam to Southampton Mini Cruise)

Hello and welcome to the 2nd part of our Northern European mini cruise trip report onboard the Independence of the Seas cruise ship.

In this part, we focus on our second day at sea on Royal Caribbean Independence of the Seas and our day exploring the cruise port of Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.

Rotterdam is a great mix of the new and the old and really stands out when compared to other Dutch cities.

We sailed on-board Royal Caribbean's Independence of the Seas in October 2025 and arrived at the Cruise Terminal Rotterdam in Rotterdam, which is in walking distance of the city’s main attractions before departing at the City Cruise Terminal in Southampton
