If you hate to book shore excursions, these are the port to avoid as these are the cruise ports with nothing there, or that are just so far from anything that you only option is to book an excursion at them.

My favourite ports are the ones where you can simply stroll from your ship and in the heart of your destination.

Either that or you dock next to a metro station or within walking distance of an easy to explore on your own cruise destination and to be honest, I get frustrated when you get to a port and there is nothing there- it is a just a waste of a day on holiday and a waste of your time.
