Fantasia on Eternal Father, Strong to Save

Improvised "Fantasia" on Eternal Father, Strong to Save.

Written in 1860 by William Whiting, and set to the tune "Melita," the text is based on Psalm 107, and has since been referred to as the "Navy Hymn" by the navies of both Great Britain and the United States.

Eternal Father, strong to save,
Whose arm hath bound the restless wave,
Who bid'st the mighty ocean deep
Its own appointed limits keep;
O hear us when we cry to Thee,
For those in peril on the sea.

Performed by Anthony Asmar on the organ of Sacred Heart Church, Norfolk, Virginia.
