Mele & Manaʻo: #J4MK Anniversary

Eō e nā hoa ʻāina! A year ago on 8/11 at 11:11am, the 1st worldwide virtual kanikapila took place.
Here we share a short video compilation of mele and manaʻo to reflect on that unforgettable moment in time, when 1000ʻs of kiaʻi gathered at the Mauna, and 1000ʻs more from 100ʻs of countries, states and ahupuaʻa joined them online - to sing the same song, at the same time, for the same Mauna.

The mele sound bites feature some of these kiaʻi, while weaving in manaʻo shared by many of the Mana Maoli Collective artists who answered the kāhea - #LikoMartin , #Anuhea, #NapuaGreig, #AmyHanaialii, #AshleyLilinoe, #NaniLimYap, and #AsiaYap.
