Sirui 24mm F2.8 Anamorphic Close Up Lens & Filter Test | + Gear Ring Discussion.

I recently received my 24mm Sirui F2.8 Anamorphic Lens from the Indiegogo Campaign, I was hoping the 24mm would have the same front lens filter size as the previous two lenses (the 35mm and 50mm both have a front lens filter size of 67mm).

Unfortunately the Sirui 24mm Anamorphic has a front filter thread size of 72mm, Bigger than most of my filters that are 67mm. I decided to test out if my 67mm Gobe ND filters and Close up diopters would work without causing obtrusive vignetting.

Luckily for me you can use multiple 67mm filters with a step down ring without getting any vignette at all! Fantastic News! check out my tests to see how many filters you can apply to your Sirui 24mm anamorphic before you get a vignette on the GH5 or other Micro Four Thirds Cameras like the Black Magic Pocket Cinema Camera 4k.

Using Close up filters or, diopters as they are otherwise known, can allow you to focus closer to your subject than the lens allows. It also can increase the amount of Bokeh in your shot! I compare the Sirui 50mm bokeh with the Sirui 24mm.
