Sirui Vs Vazen: A Discussion on Budget Anamorphics

I've had the pleasure of shooting with the Sirui anamorphic lenses for a couple of projects now and thought I'd offer up my thoughts on them as "go-to" anamorphic lenses for those who wish to own their own set of anamorphic lenses without breaking the bank. I also compare them to the Vazen lenses and show a side-by-side comparison that I go to shoot thanks to Cameron Mackey.

My take is that while they don't give you that lovely 1.8x stretch, high budget look like the Vazen lenses, they are still very good quality lense overall and offer enough of a distinct look and characteristic to give some oomph to an image. Will definitely keep these as my everyday anamorphic set for personal projects and client work that might not have the budget for higher-end anamorphic and all that's needed to run a shoot with them.

Shoutout to Cam Mackey for helping me shoot this
