Public Charge Rule Blocked!

The Trump Administration's Public Charge Rule is once again blocked, nationwide. On Monday, March 8 Biden Administration asked the US Supreme Court to toss the Public Charge case before them on review. This is just 2 weeks after the Court agreed to hear the appeal. But the new Biden Administration has a different position on public charge than the Trump Administration. The new Acting Solicitor General filed a joint stipulation to dismiss saying all the parties agreed the case should be dismissed. The Court agreed, and dismissed the case on March 9. The result is that the Rule is BLOCKED, nationwide. We explain what happened before the US Supreme Court, the review of the public charge rule ordered by the Biden Administration, and what it means for families.
