May 2013 Family Europe Trip: Venice, Italy (Part 5)

The final destination of our May 2013 Europe trip took us to Venice, Italy where we dove into the unique atmosphere that only Venice has.

We traveled to/from Venice via train (Trenitalia). Once in Venice, we utilized the vaporetto (public water buses).

We spent our time exploring the alleys, canal fronts and the historic St. Mark's Square. We also spent plenty of time trying all the varieties of gelato (that was our daughter's favorite activity!).

While in Venice, we visited Lido Island so we could enjoy a beach day. We also did some glass shopping at Murano.
