SYRIA - TALKS BETWEEN US AND SYRIA

(22 Jul 1994) U.S. Secretary of State Warren Christopher wound up a Middle East
shuttle on Friday (22/7) with no apparent sign of an agreement on
the Israeli-Syrian deadlock over the Golan Heights. Christopher
wrapped up his meetings in Damascus, the second time in the week
he had visited the Syrian capital for talks with President Hafez
al-Assad.
