Meal Prep for the Weekend With Me | Lamb | Bahsh | Matzah Ball Soup
Weekend meal inspiration. Below are some recipes from this weeks Weekend menu.
Bahsh (green rice):
2 cups rice
3 bunches cilantro
1 cup cubed meat or chicken of choice
1 diced onion
1/2 c oil
1/2 c water
1tbsn salt
1 tbsp chicken consome
Pepper
Cumin and coriander
Bake covered at 400F for 1 and 1/2 hours mixing half way through
Fried flounder:
Dip flounder into flour then egg mixed with seasoning salt, and garlic powder. Fry on both sides.
Sweet Chili lamb:
Pour chili sauce over lamb, potatoes and radishes. Sprinkle Montreal steak seasoning. Bake covered at 400F for 2 hours.
Matzah ball soup:
Put 5 drum sticks to boil in a soup pot.
Add desired vegetables like onion, celery, carrot and potato. Season with 3 bay leaves, tbspn salt, tbspn chicken consome, garlic powder and pepper. Add matzah balls to the soup. Cook for an hour and a half.
Eggplant salad:
Dip sliced lengthwise eggplant into oil and place on parchment paper. Season with S/p. Broil for 5-7 minutes on each side. Separately make carrot salad. Julienne carrots. Season with s/p, coriander, sugar, avocado oil and vinegar. Add desired greens. Once eggplants cool, places carrot salad into the eggplant and roll.
Purple cabbage salad:
Thinly sliced cabbage, peppers, onion, and radish. Add handful of pecans and craisins. Season with s/p, vinegar, avocado oil, sugar and 1 minced garlic. Add desired greens.
Tuna salad:
1 can of tuna drained
1 red pepper sliced thinly
1/2 onion sliced thinly
Cilantro
Handful of well squeezed sauerkraut
Mix with S/P and mayo
Vinaigrette Salad:
Boil 2 medium sized potatoes and 1 carrot and cube
Roast 1 beet in the oven and cube
2 pickles cubed
1/2 onion thinly sliced
Handful well drained sauerkraut
Season with avocado oil, vinegar and salt
Challah dough Recipe:
5 lb all purpose flour
5 and 1/2 cups water
1 cup oil
1 cup sugar
4 tbsp yeast
2 tbsp salt
Bake at 350F for 45 minutes
Yogurt dip:
2 heaping tbsps of yogurt
1 heaping tbsp of sour cream
1 minced garlic
S/p
